Breath, reflection and hand-built pottery
Making Time: Coming Back to Myself

About the event
Making Time: Coming Back to Myself is an invitation to step away from the usual pace, settle into your body and spend an afternoon creating without pressure.
Together, we will move through gentle breathing, guided visualisation, meditation and reflective journaling before working with clay to create a handmade mug of your own.
The experience brings together inner reflection and working with the hands: first creating space within, and then giving that space a physical form.
Throughout the afternoon, you will also be invited to taste three Jaya Ayurveda infusions, each selected to accompany a different moment of the experience. The teas will be gently woven into the rhythm of the workshop from arriving and settling, to reflection and creative work.
Prachi, from Jaya Ayurveda, will introduce the blends and share a little about their ingredients, qualities and how they can become part of simple everyday rituals.
The first part: returning to yourself
Guided by Prachi, the first part of the workshop offers time to slow down and notice how you are arriving.
Through gentle breathing practices, guided visualisation, meditation and journaling, you will be invited to step out of daily mental activity and reconnect with yourself.
The practices are simple, accessible and designed to help you become more present before moving into the creative part of the afternoon.
The second part: creating your own pottery mug
After the guided practice, Noé will lead you through the process of making your own hand-built pottery mug.
Using the slab technique, you will shape and design your mug step by step.
No previous pottery experience is required.
We will work with beautiful speckled clay, giving every mug a warm and natural character.
At the end of the workshop you will choose between two carefully selected glazes.
Your mug will then be professionally glazed and fired.
A few weeks later it will be ready to accompany your morning tea or another quiet ritual.
